Guild Cares

Guild Cares sessions are held regularly at different times of day to allow members from all over the world, including Israel and Australia, to participate. Announcements with Zoom registration links are posted on the GTM private Facebook page and emailed to members.

Guild Cares:

Continuing in the spirit of helping and supporting our members across the world, Guild Cares is designed to help members connect with each other for sharing, collaboration and friendship. Recognizing that members are often the only of their kind in their professional settings, we seek to provide a safe space to discuss issues with others who can be empathetic and helpful in dealing with the challenges we all face.

Covenant

As a participant in Guild Cares, I promise that I will maintain the confidentiality of my fellow participants. I will not share anything I hear with anyone outside of the participants in the session, nor will I record any portion of the session. What is said in a Guild Cares session will remain in the room.

Protocols:

1. After a brief introduction, participants will be sent to breakout rooms with a maximum of four participants, so that everyone will have ample time to share.
2. Participants may introduce themselves with only their name, if they wish, or with more detail including where they work. However, introductions should be no more than one minute long.
3. Participants may indicate before they start whether they want active feedback and suggestions to solve problems, or if they just want to be heard and supported.
4. Each participant will have a maximum of 5 minutes to share without interruption.
5. Every participant will speak before any participant speaks again.
6. Once everyone has spoken, open discussion is encouraged.
7. A facilitator will be assigned to each room to help the conversation. (When the Facilitator is sharing, someone else in the room will be asked to facilitate.)
8. Participants may share their contact information in the breakout room’s Chat if they wish to stay in touch.
