Through Children’s Eyes: the Holocaust seen in the poetry and drawings of the children of Terezin with David Shukiar & Mark Saltzman
n 2008 GTM members David Shukiar and Mark Saltzman created a special piece that set the children’s poetry from Terezin to music and projected images of their original artwork in honor of Yom HaShoah. Since the premiere the dream was to bring this piece and perform it in Terezin. In November 2024 special permission was given for this once in a lifetime concert to take place in Terezin in the Attic Theatre where musical performances happened during the war. Join David and Mark in this exclusive Guild Talks Music session where we will learn about the journey to Terezin and be among the first to see the documentary of the concert filmed by two time Academy Award Nominee Phedon Papamichael (notably known for his work as cinematographer for A Complete Unknown).
